My name is LeAnn Welch, and I am honored to serve as the Principal at Sale Creek Middle High School, a place I’ve proudly called home for the past 13 years. I began my journey here as a school counselor and transitioned into leadership under the guidance of Tobin Davidson. Throughout the years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing incredible growth, achievement, and transformation within our school and community.

At Sale Creek, we combine the warmth and support of a small-school atmosphere with the breadth of opportunities typically found in larger schools. Our students have access to rigorous academics, competitive athletics, and dynamic college and career pathways. From building award-winning e-cars that have never lost a race, to seeing our ACT composite scores rise by four points, our accomplishments speak to the dedication of both our staff and students.

We take immense pride in our students’ success, whether it’s gaining acceptance into prestigious institutions like the U.S. Service Academies, Dartmouth, UTK, or winning state championships, building a construction facility with their own hands, or showcasing their talents through county-wide art competitions year after year.

But our mission goes beyond accolades.

The heart of Sale Creek beats for its students. Under my leadership, our most important goal is to ensure that every student feels seen, heard, and valued every single day. We believe in nurturing not just scholars and athletes, but kind, capable, and community-minded individuals. We strive to unlock potential in every student, even when they don’t yet see it in themselves, and walk with them as they grow into confident, compassionate contributors to our world.
